HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!!!!

Part 7 : Trick or Hoe?

Cassidy smiled while looking at herself in the mirror. Last night was better than she could have imagined. Fresh from the shower she dried off and got dressed. When she came out the bathroom Trevor was still out on her couch. It was time for him to go. “Wake up” she gave him a nudge. No response. “ Trevor!” He shot up making her jump a little. Looking around confused he sat up making a face. “What happened last night? The last thing I remember is getting a drink with you.” “We had a lot to drink and then came back here for some fun.” “What do you mean fun?” “You really don’t remember us sleeping together?” He got to his feet. “No….no, no” without another word he looked for his shoes. “ We had a good time. I promise not to tell your wife. Not that I know who she is anyway” she lied. “This can never happen again. We can be friends but….I can’t believe we slept together.”

“Well believe it. Call me later?” “ I’m going to be busy tonight. Going to the convention center with the misses.” Cassidy forgot it was halloween but that would be a perfect place to run into Erica. After shutting the door behind Trevor she opened her phone and looked through all the pictures she took of them last night.

Erica laid awake in bed with swollen eyes from crying all night. Even though the test was negative she had some glimmer of hope that she was pregnant. On the bright side she didn’t have to worry about who the father would be. A messy situation avoided. Still, it brought her back to the day when she found out she was pregnant the first time and how she should have a little baby right now. The phone rang. “Hello” “Happy Halloween! Have any plans this evening?” her best friend Amber asked. “ Me and Trevor are supposed to be going to the convention center for the Halloween party but I don’t know if I want to go.” “ I was going to ask you if you wanted to go there. I never get to hang with my best friend anymore since I moved.” “No one told you to move to Oasis Springs...I miss you. So much is going on here that I need a friend to talk to and work things out.” “What about Micah? You guys don’t talk anymore?” “Please, Micah has a new boyfriend. When they break up we will hear from her again until the next guy.” They shared a little laugh knowing their friend all too well. “What’s been going on?” “Winston is back and has no plans to leave me alone.” “The love of your life Winston? Nothing has happened right?” “....We already slept together a few times and I can’t help myself…” “We are going to have to talk tonight at the party. I need to get to work but I want all the details.” “Ok love you.” Amber kissed into the phone before hanging up.

Violet slowly opened her eyes still exhausted from the day and night before. But with everything that had happened a nightcap with Winston was a dream. “Good morning beautiful” Winston walked in handing her a cup of coffee. “Thank you, I should probably get up huh?” she loved being in his bed and naked at that. “ You had a rough day yesterday so take as long as you like. Whenever you get up there is some food from H&H cafe on the counter. I didn’t know what you wanted so I just got a few things.” “You didn’t have to do that but thank you. About last night..” “ We had moment and it won’t happen again I promise. We both know that I’m in love with someone else and you are dating someone now, so let’s forget that this happened.” Violet didn’t want to forget though. “Yeah, I was going to say the same thing.” Winston turned as if getting ready to leave but stopped to turn back. “Happy Halloween by the way. I wanted to go to the convention center but I have no one to go with. You want to go?” “You have to have a date to go?” “No, but I don’t want you here alone by yourself.” “Because of Wesley?” “Part of it.” “Do you have to have a costume to go?” “Yeah, so if you want we can go out to the store later to pick you up one.” “Why not, I need the distraction.”

Kane woke up with his rear end sore. Barely even able to sit he got out of bed waking Neal up in the process. “Everything ok?” Neal asked. “Yeah just a little sore. You were kind of rough.” “I’m sorry, you never complained before.” “This time is different…” Neal got out of bed getting dressed before putting the money on the night stand. “This might be the last time we see each other for a while.” Kane was confused. “Why is that?” “I got a lot of things going on at home and I might take a vacation just to get away for awhile.” “Well you know where to find me when you get back.” “I might not be back.” Kane said nothing in response as he waited for him to leave. He was acting strange but he didn’t much care as long as he got his money. A knock sounded on his door. Thinking it was Neal he opened it to see that it was sister Crissy. “Boo!” He wasn’t amused. “Oh come on Kane you use to love Halloween when we were growing up” she walked inside. “Yeah when we were growing up. I’m a grown man now...I forgot it was Halloween today.” He took a seat next to her making a face.

“I saw the guy that left on my way in...was he big?” “Crissy!” She always found a way to make him uncomfortable but he loved that she was so comfortable with him being gay as well as the rest of his family. “None of your business. You have yet to tell me why you are here.” “ I have come to spend the day with my big brother. We always spend Halloween together and I hear that there is a huge Halloween party going down at the convention center and I want to go.” “One, we never spend Halloween together and two since when did you want to go to a party and on Halloween?” She sighed . “Fine! I only want to go because there is this guy I like and I heard that he is going and I don’t want to go by myself.” “Don’t you have friends to go with?” “I do, but they all want to do something different so I’m asking my brother that lives close by.” “I had no plans of going but if that’s what you want to do then….I guess.” She screamed out making him cover his ears. “Thank you! I love you so much!” “You old enough to get in?” “Yeah, you have to be eighteen to get in I just can’t drink.” “I need to see this guy you’re talking about.” “ All you need to know is that he is really cute and older.”

Convention Center

Kane tugged at his costume as his sister rushed him to the door. Walking inside the place was mostly empty. “ No one is here...This is suppose to be the party?” he asked confused. “No we are early. I want to be able to see him when he comes in.” “How are you even going to tell its him if he’s going to be wearing a costume?” “I will know it’s him.” “Well eat some candy while I go have a drink kiddo.” He pat her on the head before leaving. Crissy didn’t have to wait too long before he came in. “Logan!” she called out running over to him. “Crissy? What are you doing here?” “I’m here for the party….I came with my brother.” “Are you old enough to be here?” “I’m eighteen now so yes. Finally legal” she added in. “Nice, how is your mom doing?” “Good. Where is your costume?” “I’m putting it on later. Chez’s is catering the event tonight. I could sure use your help, I miss having you working for me.” She blushed. “If you really need me than I would love to help cater and anything else you want.” She gave him a sly look. “I think we could work something out...meet in the back in an hour.” Crissy’s insides turned to butterflies. Hopefully the night had come that she was finally going to get her crush.

An Hour Later
Cassidy pulled up in front the center trying to get in contact with Bri. It was strange to go a whole day without talking to her friend. She would stop by tomorrow but for now she was on a mission. A crowd already started to form around the dance floor and the bar. With a quick scan of faces she didn’t see Erica or Trevor. No matter. It was just a point of waiting for the right moment to strike. With a double to check to make sure her phone was in her pocket she decided to go get a drink.

Following behind Cassidy Winston and Violet showed up pausing at the main entrance to look inside. “I think I change my mind” Violet said ready to go home. “Why? We are already here and you’re dressed.” “I know but I don’t really want to be around all these people.” He grabbed her hands. “You need some fun right now. After a few drinks I promise you will be in a better mood.” Taking a look out into the crowd again Violet saw Logan disappearing into a room with a woman. “What’s wrong?” “ I thought I saw Logan just now.” “Go look for him and I will get us some drinks.” With that they parted ways.

“When you said you wanted to help me earlier what did you mean by that?” Logan asked closing the storage door behind Crissy. “Just what I meant. Anything you need me to do.” He walked up behind her making her gasp for air. “I always thought you were pretty but you were always too young for me.” “I’ve always liked you too.” She turned to face him kissing him. He pushed her over to the nearest counter and began to undress her.

“Give me two wrench’s please” Winston said to the bartender. “Winston?” Cassidy put her drink down not believing it was him. He made a face. “I thought I said I never wanted to see you ever again. You following me?” “Don’t flatter yourself. Although I wouldn’t mind sleeping with you again I’ve moved onto better things.” He laughed. “Ruining someone else’s life?” “ No, I didn’t ruin your life I just wanted to be apart of it but you made it clear that you didn’t want me. I’ve met someone though.” “Congrats.” The bartender handed him his drinks. “Now if you’ll excuse I need to forget I just talked to you. Have a nice life.” Cassidy eyed that he had two drinks and couldn’t help but be angry.

Logan had Crissy’s legs wrapped around him as they moved in unison enjoying the high of the moment. “I thought you said you would be busy tonight not fucking someone else!” Violet yelled in shock.

Logan quickly pulled out of Crissy trying to pull his pants up. “This is not what it seems.” “Really cause it looks like fucking to me.” “Please...just let me talk to you.” “No” she laughed “That woman tried to warn me and I didn’t listen. Don’t call me again.” Violet stormed out. Logan looked back at Crissy who was fixing up her clothes and said a quick sorry before running behind Violet.
Violet walked over to Winston. “I’m not staying here! If you want to be here by yourself then fine!” “Woah” Winston got up from his seat to stop her. “What’s wrong? What happened?” “The worst two days of my life! Not only does my ex come back to beat on me some more, Logan is sleeping with some other woman and we haven’t even been dating for two seconds!” “Violet wait up” Logan walked up to them. “Nah, She doesn’t want to talk you.” Winston got in his way blocking him from her. “I just need to talk to her.” “You deaf? Walk away.” Violet walked away leaving them alone. “Stay away from her or you will have to deal with me.”

Erica walked into the convention center bumping into someone. “I’m sorry I wasn’t looking where I was going” Violet said on the brink of tears. “ It’s fine I was wasn’t paying any attention either.” The woman left out. Erica’s heart jumped when she saw Winston walking out. They didn’t exchange words but just looked at each other until he walked out the door. It was strange that he said nothing but it was probably for the best since Trevor walked in. “You find a parking spot?” she asked him. “Yeah, It sure got crowded quick.” They walked in together. “I thought you had to wear a costume to get in?” Erica noticed some people dressed in everyday clothes. “That’s what I heard too. Want a drink?” “Yeah sure.” Erica went to find a seat. “Hey girlie!!” Amber squealed walking over to her. They hugged tightly. It had been a while since they seen each other. “How have you been?!” Amber asked as they sat down. “Alright I guess. I really need to talk to you.” “Is Trevie here?” “You know I hate when you call him that.” “That’s the point” Amber laughed. Before Erica could say anything Trevor joined them holding two drinks. “Nice to see you Amber.” “Nice to see you too. I will catch up with you guys later. I need to get back to my date.” “Date?” “You think I would come by myself?” All Erica could do was shake her head at her friend. “I’m going to go to the bathroom...be right back.”

Cassidy watched as Erica got up and headed back out to the main entrance. If this was her time to tell her the truth she was going to do it now. Drinking the last of her drink she got up and walked in the same direction as Erica.

Crissy plopped down next to Kane not sure how to feel about what just went down. “What’s with the long face?” “Nothing.” “Didn’t see your crush huh?” “No, I’m ready to home.” “No….You dragged me out here to this party and we are at least going to stay for a while.” “Can I ask you a question?” “What’s that?” “You ever like someone more than they liked you?” As she finished her question Kane spotted Trevor in the crowd. “Everyday sis….everyday.”

Erica walked out of the bathroom to see Cassidy standing there. A face she never thought she see again. “Cassidy, hey what are you doing here?” “Just here enjoying the party. I saw you with some guy….who is that?” “Oh, that’s just my husband Trevor. We thought we come and enjoy the party but I’m not really in the mood.” Cassidy pulled out her phone. “You know I find that strange that you say that’s your husband because I know him.” Erica looked at her funny. “What do you mean you know him?” “The funny thing is I was just with him the other night and we ended up sleeping with each other.” Cassidy showed Erica the pictures of them together enjoying the sound of Erica’s world crashing down around her. Erica stormed off while Cassidy laughed happy at the damage she caused.

Erica walked over to Trevor and smacked him hard across the face before throwing Cassidy’s phone at his chest. Everyone around watched in shock as Erica took off leaving his face stinging. He picked up the phone to see a picture of him and Cassie together naked. A tear rolled down his cheek. The sad part was she wasn’t the only person he cheated on her with…..

Part 6 : Conflict

Violet walked into Winston’s home with the biggest smile on her face. Even though they had that little incident with the woman in the park she still had a good time. Her smile faded quickly when she saw Wesley and Winston in the den. “Why are you here?” she asked interrupting their conversation. Both men stopped to look at her with Wesley standing to his feet. “I can ask you the same thing Vi. I come home one day and you’re gone without a word. Then I find you here of all places.” “I don’t want to be with you anymore Wesley.” “So you thought you could come running to get my brother back after running to me in the first place telling me you wanted me?” “I didn’t know what I wanted in to begin with. You messed with my head. Besides I know you been seeing other women besides me. I read the texts.” Wesley laughed. “Should have never snooped in the first place. Wasn’t I taking care of you? Let’s go home.”

Violet began to back up as he approached her. Yanking her arm he began to pull her towards the door. “You’re hurting me!” she yelled. Winston got to his feet to intrude. “Woah! Wes what the fuck are you doing?!” Winston pushed his brother away from Vi. Wes grew angry. “Stay out of this! This is between me and her.” Violet tried to make a run for the door but Wes caught up to her smacking her hard across the face. The impact knocked her to the floor. Winston delivered a punch to Wesley’s side knocking him down before they began full on fighting.

Neal sat on the kitchen floor crying as he held Bri’s lifeless body. Slowly he rocked her back and forth shocked that his wife and child were gone. All because he didn’t want to be outed to the world and his family. He looked down at her beautiful face knowing that he would never know peace again. That this very moment would haunt him forever. Laying her head gently on the floor he got to his feet in deep thought. Somehow he had to figure out what to do with the body.

Erica rushed in the house racing for the bathroom to throw up. She had been fine all day until she reached the house. Did she eat something bad? After a few dry heaves she flushed the toilet weak. Sitting next to the toilet she tried to calm herself. Throwing up was the worse. She thought of everything she had to eat but came up blank as to what would have made her sick. Thinking about last time she was on her period made her worry. It had been a while. Pulling her phone out her jacket pocket she pulled up the calendar and realized she was late. Her heart sank. If she was pregnant then it could be either Winston’s or Trevor’s.

Lola’s was always a place Kane could go and relax when he needed to think. Right now the topic was Trevor. “What’s on your mind tonight doll face?” Lola asked. Kane took the last swig of his drink before responding. “Man trouble as always.” She poured him another drink. “Trevor still won’t cave in huh?” “I forgot I told you about that. I just don’t know what to do to make him mines. I have now graduated to blackmail.” She made a face in response. “I know. I have nothing left.” “You ever thought about just letting things happen naturally. I know he is the only guy you love but you can’t force someone to love you back and if he is crazy enough not to realize the man you are then I’m you will find love again.” “He told me that he was never leaving his wife.” “Then let the man be Kane. You can do better than that.” “Thanks for the advice Lo but I rather sit here and drink alone.” “You know where I am if you need to talk.” As she walked away he was joined by someone else.

“Seat taken?” “Nope. I will be leaving after this drink.” “I thought I might get a chance to talk to you for a bit.” The guy sat next to him getting Kane’s attention. “For what?” “ I just would like to know you is all. Vince” “Nice to meet you. You should leave before the night crowd starts coming in.” “That’s the part I enjoy but I like to have a few drinks beforehand.” “I hate to be short with you but I’m not in the best of moods right now for small talk so whatever you want just ask.” “Straight to the point then. I see you in here all the time and I got word that you do things for money. Stuff I like to try.” “I don’t do whatever it is you’re implying.” “But someone told me-” “Don’t believe everything you hear, besides you have cop written all over you.” Kane drank the last of his drink and left.

Cassidy stood outside of Lola’s waiting for Bri to show up. Rubbing her hands together to warm them from the cool air. Trevor walked up to greet her. “Thanks for inviting me out tonight I needed this.” They hugged. “No problem I figure since we are both going through something it would be a nice change of scenery.” “Are you ready to go inside? It’s kind of cold out here.” Cassidy dialed Bri’s number for the umteenth time but only got her voicemail. Maybe she was running late. “I was waiting for my friend but I guess she will join us later. Ready for a drink?”

Winston joined Violet on the porch handing her an ice pack for her face. Taking a seat next to he looked out at the vast sky and sighed. “I’m sorry I put you through this. I shouldn’t have came here. I knew he would come looking for me but I didn’t think so soon.” “When you first got here you should have told me the truth as to why you left. How long has he been beating you?” “For most of our relationship. He started off so sweet at first and then one day I left a dish in the sink and the next thing I know is I have a black eye. I was ashamed to tell you.” “You should have called me sooner. He could have killed you.” “That’s why I left like I did. I couldn’t take it anymore. At first when he use to hit me it was every so often and then it turned into every little thing I did. Hell I looked at him wrong and he was beating me.”

“Our dad use to beat on our mom.” She was shocked. “Guess my dad rubbed off on him more than I thought.” “What happened with your dad? Is she still with him?” “No, but it took him beating her within an inch of her life for her to realize it wasn’t ok.” “I’m sorry to hear that.” “My mom is happily remarried to a nice guy...honestly I wish he was my father.” Violet leaned into him resting her head on his shoulder as he talked. “If I get mad enough I can feel the anger my dad use to unleash on my mom. I fear I could turn into him but I try my best not to.” “You could never hurt anyone Winston...you have a good heart. If I would have seen that to begin with we would be together right now...happy. Maybe even married but I missed my opportunity. The woman you love is very lucky.” They made eye contact. It felt good to hear that coming from her. “Vi don’t let anyone ever hurt you like that again. I’m here for you if you need me...always.” He moved a strand of hair out of her face while looking into her eyes. Violet moved into kiss him and he didn’t stop her.

With Trevor away at work it gave Erica time to go to the store and buy a pregnancy test. For the longest time she stood in the bathroom staring down at the pink box afraid to take it. If the test was positive then she wouldn’t know who the father would be. To be honest either way it went she would happy but deep down in her gut she had hoped that it was Winston’s.

With a deep breath she opened the box and ripped opened the packet. After peeing on the stick she placed the cap back on the end and sat the test down next to her on the counter. After a minute the test window revealed her results. With a stoic face tears began to pool in her eyes.

Later on that night

After one too many drinks Trevor and Cassidy caught a cab back to her place. Little did Trevor know that she wasn’t as drunk as he was. She needed to be a little sober for this next part. With Trevor’s arm slumped around her shoulder she walked with to the door helping him inside. In his drunken stupor he walked over to the couch and plopped down. “I had a fun night tonight. Thanks again for inviting me out.” She quickly removed her pants behind him. “I had fun too...I wish you could have met my friend I think she would have loved you.” “Me too” he rested his head back closing his eyes. Feeling a tug at his zipper he looked up to see Cassidy fully naked. “What are you doing? You know I’m married right.” “What she doesn’t know won’t hurt her. We can have even more fun.” She got his fly open and took all of him into her mouth. His body reacted immediately with all his blood rushing to the source of the pleasure. To drunk to fight he rested his head back again and enjoyed the service she was providing.

Neal found a spot to put Bri where no one would think to look. The waterworks started up again as he knew this was the last time he was going to see her. He gave her one last kiss on her cold stiff lips before moving down and kissing her baby bump. His child that he would never meet by his hands hurt him deeply. Standing to his feet he gave her one last look and walked away to leave her there to rot……

Part 5 : Past No Return

Slowly Erica opened her eyes adjusting to the light coming through the blinds. “Shit!” she shot to her feet. It was morning already? Erica looked down to see Winston sleeping soundly on the floor. Trevor. With her heart beating fast she ran to the front door to see if his car was outside. How could she be so careless? To her surprise he wasn’t even home yet. It made her wonder what he would be doing out so late but she didn’t have time to ponder the thought. Winston had to go now. Collecting his things she woke him up. “Do I have to?” he mouthed through a dry mouth. “Winston! You have to go before Trevor gets home.” He slowly sat up and got to his feet. He wasn’t the only one that was awake. Her eyes were glued to his manhood. Tearing her eyes away she threw his clothes at him. “You have to get out now and put that thing away please.” He laughed. “You were singing a different tune last night. You sure you don’t want to say hello.” “Stop messing around Winston this is serious. I should have never let you in the house.” “I’m sorry, I just needed to see you. Cassidy was never pregnant in the first place” he spat as he zipped up his pants. “You serious?...Call me later. For now just go please.” After he put his shirt on he gave her a kiss on the cheek and left. Looking at the time it read eight. Taking a quick look around for any remaining evidence she shot upstairs to shower.

Bri walked into H&H Cafe to see Jax sitting in the back drinking coffee. “You bring the information?” She asked taking a seat. “Good Morning to you as well and yes.” He leaned over and grabbed a folder out of his bag. “Everything I have on the mystery guy. Are you ok?” “No, I can hardly sleep without thinking about him with a man. Every time he leaves the house I’m wondering if he is going to go and see him. I’m trying hard not to say anything, but the more time passes the more I want to say something to him.” “Can I ask you something?” “ What’s that?” “ How well do you know your husband?” “Well I use to be sure I knew but now that I found out this information I’m not so sure. Why?” “ I tried to you warn you earlier that this could get ugly. If I find out anything more than just this affair….will you want to know?” “But your job is done. I don’t think I could handle anything else from this man.” “Free of charge. Even if you don’t want to know more I just need to know If you are ok with me still investigating further.” “Do what you want. Thank you for this.” Bri got up to order some coffee before leaving.

Violet walked into a cute breakfast nook to see Logan waiting for her. “When you said date I didn’t think you meant out for breakfast.” He smiled. “Why not? A date doesn’t always mean dinner and a movie. I was surprised you called me last night.” “Right this way please” a chipper waitress said approaching them. “I figure I try something new. The guy you saw me with decided he didn’t want to hear what I had to say so, I’m free.” “You still have feelings for him?” “Nothing I can’t get over with the right person.” “Very nice answer. Order whatever you want and maybe after we can go do something you always wanted to do.” “I’m sorry, are you trying to buy my love?” “No just trying to show you they’re no limits with me.” This shut her up. “Did I say something wrong?” “No….I’m ready to eat.”

Winston pulled up front of his home exhausted from last night. The whole thing was blur after dinner was over. Cassidy danced in his head. He still couldn’t get over the fact that he was really going to believe that she was pregnant. Trying to think of anything other than her his thoughts were interrupted with a knock on the window. His other half was looking down at him. Surprised he rolled down the window. “Wesley?” “Not happy to see your big brother?” “By a minute and no I’m not. We didn’t leave off on good terms the last time. What are you doing here?” “We both know Violet picked the better brother but it seems she ran off and I feel like she might have ended up at your door. Am I wrong?” Winston got out the car. “No, she’s inside I think.” “Who did you spend the night with?” “You think I would really tell you?” “ Why not?” “Because you think we are playing some sort of game. I’m not letting you steal her like you did Violet.” Wesley laughed. “I can’t help if they see me and want the better brother.” Winston opened the door. “Violet!” No response. “I guess she’s not here.” “Where would she go? I thought you said she was here.” Winston remembered  what she told him at dinner. “Maybe she’s out with the guy that asked her out last night.”

Trevor woke to the smell of pancakes. His favorite. Looking over at the clock on the night stand it was nine. He was supposed to have been home. Hopefully Erica was sound asleep. Getting dressed Kane walked in holding a plate full of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. “I was going to surprise you with breakfast, but I see you’re already up.” “I don’t have time to eat anything. I’ve stayed long enough.” Kane sat the food down. “ Can’t you see that I’m trying?” “That’s the point Kane I don’t want you to try. This was fun at first but now at this point it’s blackmail.” “I know I’m not the only one who enjoys it.” Trevor didn’t respond as he put his jacket on. “You can make this easier by just leaving her. Life would be so much better.” “I can’t do this anymore Kane if you want to tell her and destroy my life then go ahead.” Kane walked over to him. “I don’t want to hurt you.” The trap again. The closer Kane got the weaker he became. Kane started kissing his neck. He sank to the bed with Kane on top of him.

Bri knocked a few times on Cassidy’s door before it opened. She stepped inside the dark house closing the door behind her. “Tell me what happened.” “He knows I’m not pregnant.” Bri wanted to say I told you so but instead sat next to her. “How did he find out?” “He brought a test over here and wanted me to take it in front of him but instead of taking it I just told him.”

“At least you told him. It probably would have made things worse if you actually took the test and he saw it.” “I don’t know what to do B. I just wanted him but everything is messed up.” “The best thing you can do is forget him for a while and work on you….and maybe you guys will find each other again.” “All this started after I saw Erica in the park that day.” Then Cassidy got an idea. Grabbing her phone she sent a text to Trevor. Payback was in order. “How do you feel about going out tonight?” she asked Bri with a smirk on her face. “I need to get out the house right now anyway but I need to do something first.”

“Something you always wanted to do is walk in the park?” Logan asked. “I can do this anytime but I want to take things slow. I always rush into things with guys before thinking, so for now the park it is. Maybe we can go out tonight?” They stopped walking. Logan faced her. “Can I kiss you at least? I been wanting to do it ever since I laid my eyes on you.” Violet thought it strange that he didn’t answer her question but why not. “Ye-” She couldn’t get out her answer fast enough before his lips were on hers. Time stopped and everything around them fell silent as her heart raced. Her lips lingered when he broke the kiss. That never happened before. “When do you want to go out tonight? I will pick you up.” She was speechless. “You must be the next victim” They were interrupted by a woman.

Trevor saw he got a text from Cassie inviting him out to the club later that night. He texted back a simple yes before heading into the house. Erica was nowhere to be found. Thinking she was sleep he headed upstairs to an empty bed. Just then the bathroom door opened and she came out dressed. “Hey love….long night?” she asked drying her hair with a towel. “Yeah, I was tired and ended up falling asleep at the desk.” “Not the first time  you’ve done that. You want some breakfast? I will fix you something before I head out.” “Where are you going?” “ I need to run a few errands and then I’m going to the cafe to work on my book.” “No, I just want to take a shower and lay down.” Erica made a face. “Are you wearing new cologne?”. His heart raced fast as he thought of a quick lie. “No, some guy at the office cakes the stuff on and has the whole office smelling like him.” Thinking nothing of it she walked away to find her shoes. His heart dropped to his feet. That was too close of a call.

Neal walked out the gym to a familiar face. “Nathan Curtis or should I call you what Neal” Jax said walking over to him. “You think a simple name change would make people forget what you did to Marissa.” “I will tell you like I told everyone else that asked me. I didn’t do anything to Marissa. She ran out on me.” “Why can’t you just tell everyone where the body is so we can put her to rest already.” “I’m trying to move on with my life and here you go bothering me. Don’t you think that if they found anything that I would be behind bars? The whole situation messed up my life as well….her leaving destroyed everything.” “My sister would never just up and leave without a word to her family.” “It was three years ago Jax go back to the hole you crawled from. I finally found a place where no one knows me or the past. I’m happy.” “What about Marissa? You think she is happy? I won’t rest until you pay for what you did to her.” Neal watched as he walked away steaming on the inside. Just when he thought he was clean from the past it was slowly creeping back into the picture. He couldn’t let it get to Bri. Neal continued to the car to go home.

Both Violet and Logan came crashing down back to earth to eye the woman interrupting the moment. “Who are you?” Violet asked annoyed. “One of his many exes blinded by love and money. Don’t let it fool you he is the devil.” “I remember you cheating on me with a friend of yours and now you’re bitter because I moved on.” “I have scars to prove it. Please stay away from him.” Violet watched as tears started to pool in her eyes. Maybe she was serious. “She’s just crazy. Come on...she just wants us back together” He lightly put his arm around her waist pulling her in the other direction. The look in her eyes said otherwise as she looked back at her walking away. If this was going to turn into anything she was going to take things even slower.

Bri sat in the kitchen waiting for Neal to get home. It was time to confront him on the situation. She couldn’t keep it in anymore. It was eating her alive. Right on time the front door opened with him dropping his gym bag by the door. “Love I’m home!” “In the kitchen!”. He walked in to see her swollen eyes with tears coming down. “Baby what’s wrong?” he rushed over to her. “We need to talk Neal.” He took a seat wondering what was going on. Bri placed the folder she got from Jax on the table without saying anything. He opened the folder to see a picture of him and Kane kissing outside his house. He turned to stone looking at the picture. “Where did you get this? Have you been following me?” “The question is how long has this been going on? I heard the damn phone call between you and him!” she got to her feet and began to pace. “Why the hell are you listening to my phone calls!” “You are the one cheating on me and you are worried about a damn phone call! And with a man Neal….now I need to go get tested because of you! I’m not enough huh?” Neal didn’t know how to respond everything was happening so fast. “Can we just sit down and talk about this like adults please.”

“No! We are past sitting down and talking.” A image of Marissa came to mind as a sense of deja vu washed over him. This was their last argument before she ran off. “Here I am thinking we are happy with a baby on the way and you’ve been cheating on me all along! Even after trying to fit into your stuck up family because I’m black….wait until they find out you’re gay!” “Calm down...It’s not good for the baby.” He walked over to her grabbing her into a bear hug. “Get off me!” She fought but he wouldn’t let her go. “You’re only with me to use me as a cover up….”she realized. Her heart began to shatter into thousand pieces. Neal began to cry as his grip got tighter pushing her face into his chest. Bri tried to break free from his grip, but her strength was no match for his. He turned a deaf ear to her muffled cries as she thrashed about…..

Part 4 : Dinner, Adultery, Admission

Winston annoyed walked into Chez’s restaurant with Violet behind him. “Walk to far ahead of me and people will think we aren’t together” she whispered to him. “That’s the point we aren’t together. When I said to pick a place to eat I didn’t mean the most expensive place in town.” They walked up to the host to request a table. “How many?” the small framed host asked not looking up at them. “Just two” Winston responded.

They took their seats at a candlelit table. “I just want to get through this meal and go home. Some people have work tomorrow.” “You’re so cute when you fuss. Don’t order until I get back.” “Where are you going?” “What all ladies do on a date, freshen up”.

Trevor slightly gripped at the pills in his pocket knowing all too well what was going to
happen after dinner. It must of showed in his face. “Everything ok with you?” Erica asked as they walked into Chez’s. “Yeah just thinking about what I need to do for work” he lied. Although he did have to give her some bad news about that. “Party of two” Erica spoke to the host.

He was so lost in thought that he didn’t remember even getting out the car. They sat down at a booth. “You sure it’s only about work? You seem someplace else tonight.” He held her hand. “I’m sorry, just so much going on. I also have something to tell you.” “Can it wait until after dinner if it’s bad news? I just want to enjoy our meal and forget our problems for a while.” He nodded in response swallowing the lie he was about to tell her.

Violet gave herself one last look over in the mirror to make sure everything was in place. Satisfied, she opened the door and began heading back toward Winston when she was stopped. Her eyes cut to the hand holding her arm before she looked up at the guy smiling down at her.

“Excuse me but hands off...I don’t know you” she snapped. They guy held his hands up. “You’re right. I’m sorry. Logan Yates” he held out his hand for her to shake. With hesitation she shook his hand. “Violet. What do you want I need to get back to my table.” “I saw you come in with some guy that looked not so happy to be with you.” “And?” “And if you were my date it would be a different story. You are very beautiful.” She crossed her arms. “I’m listening.” “ Is he your boyfriend or something?” “Maybe.” “Well when you figure it out and decide he’s not...give me a call.” Logan handed her a card with his name and contact information. Swiftly she took the card. “Nice to meet you Mr.Yates.” “The pleasure is all mines. How about dinner on me tonight?” “How so? I just told you I was with someone.” “Because, I am the owner you can tell your boyfriend to thank me later.” He gave her a quick smirk before walking away.

Erica tapped her hill onto the stone floor nervous about the news Trevor had to tell. What could it be? Putting the menu down not knowing what to order she felt eyes on her and looked round the room. If it wasn’t the sex bot himself. Winston. Of all the places he could have been he had to be just feet away from her eyeing her down. She met his gaze before he looked away at the woman taking a seat across from him. Instantly her blood began to boil with jealousy. Here she was trying to break away from him but he had so easily done it and on a date. Erica knew she shouldn’t be jealous but she was and didn’t like the situation at all. With quick hands she got her phone out of her purse to text him. - I see you got over me that easy huh?- she hit send and looked at him waiting for him to take out his phone.

Winston reached into his pocket and shook his head typing quickly into the phone. Watching him put the phone down she looked at hers a few seconds before the message could reach her. -You have nothing to worry about. She’s just a friend in need. Want to go for round 3 tonight?- Flustered she put her phone away just in time for Trevor to join her again from going to the bathroom. “I feel better you ready to order?” he asked oblivious to her indiscretions.

Winston thinking it was another message from Erica after hearing his phone buzz was disappointed. Cassidy. He couldn’t escape the girl. “Someone is pretty popular tonight” Violet said with her face in the menu. “I told you I have a lot going on right now. You know what you are getting?” “No, but so do I. The owner of the place just stopped me to ask me out on a date but it depends.” He laughed. “Are you really going to fall for the I’m the owner of the place line?” She cut eyes at him over her menu before putting it down. “He said that dinner would be free tonight so you’re welcome.” “I don’t know how you pull these guys in...myself included. Good luck for him.” “Why do you say that?” “He is going to need it with you.” She grew annoyed. “I don’t even know if I’m going to call him or not.” “Why not?” “When I told you I had somethings to get off my chest I wasn’t joking and it is about us.” “And I recall telling you not to tell me Vi….I have a baby on the way and I’m trying to get someone else back.” “She’s not pregnant.” Winston paused from her comment. “How would you know that?” “ I went to the bar for a drink and I saw her. Of course she didn’t see me but the woman was downing glasses of wine like it was water, so either she’s not pregnant or she is trying to hurt her baby. I pick the first option and besides being a nurse for so many years I can tell when a woman is pregnant and she didn’t seem like that when I met her. Crazy yeah but not pregnant.” He let the thought roll around in his head. “But she showed me a positive pregnancy test.” Violet laughed. “Anyone can pee on a test these days, hell you can even buy pregnant woman’s pee for a price. Did she pee on the stick in front of you?” “No.” “Problem solved….” After the remark his brain turned a deaf ear to what she was saying. If what Violet was saying were true then he would buy a test himself and have her come over to take it in front of him.

Later that night

Erica and Trevor walked in their home full from there steak dinner. Kicking off her shoes she collapsed on the couch in the living room with Trevor following. “Thank you for dinner tonight. I had fun” she said telling the truth. “Me too, we have to do it more often like we use to but you might not want to after what I tell you.” Here we go. “Tell me what?” “We won’t be able to move anytime soon.” “What?” “I know, I tried to get a transfer to the same investor company but my boss wants me here and on top of that nothing is available anyway. I tried everything but unless I quit there is nothing I can do. Even though I hate my job we need the money.” Erica was devastated. Just when she thought she was going to get a break. “I understand, but I was looking forward to moving. Maybe when you find something else we can.” Trevor got up to give her a kiss on the lips. “Thank you for understanding I needed that. Although we had a good night I must get going to take care of something at work.” Without a word she watched him grab his jacket and leave. Not knowing what to do somehow she ended up calling Winston.

Winston ignored his phone as he raced to Cassidy’s place but not before dropping Violet off and going to the store to pick up a pregnancy test. He was going to wait until tomorrow but it couldn’t wait. Pulling up in front her house he ran to the door banging on it. “Hold on!” she yelled from behind the door. “Who the hell is banging…” she stopped her rant when she saw it was Winston. “ Winston, what are you doing here?” “I need to come in.” Without a thought she opened the door to let him in closing it behind him. “You ready to work things out? Did Erica turn you down?” “No, and no. I want you to take this and pee on it in front of me.” He handed her the pregnancy test. Her attitude changed. “You don’t trust me all of a sudden? I’m not taking the test.” “If you want me around at all you will take this test right now...unless you have something to hide.” With a sigh she snatched the box from him. Walking as if she was going to go to the bathroom she stopped short putting the test down on the table just before the hallway. With her back to him she spoke softly. “I can’t hear you” “I’m not pregnant! You happy?”

Winston wasn’t surprised. “You almost had me and like a fool I played right into your hands. You really was going to fake a pregnancy to be with me. That’s a new low even for you Cassidy. So who peed on the stick or did you buy it?” “My friend, but I only did his because I love you. Love makes you do crazy things.” Winston wanted to hit her but hit the wall beside him instead. “Don’t ever come near me again. Not a drop by the house, or work, or wherever I am. I’m done with you for good.” Cassidy began to cry trying to hug him but he wouldn’t let her storming out of the house. As he sped away she dropped to the floor in tears not knowing what to do.

Kane rushed to the door after a few knocks already knowing who it would be. “Did you have a nice night with the wife?” he asked as he opened the door. “You don’t really care if I did or not.” Trevor walked in removing his jacket. “You’re right I don’t care but I missed you.” “You can stop with the act Kane I already told my wife that we weren’t moving until I can figure this out or us out.” “Or until you find a way to break up with her for me.” “I’m never leaving my wife Kane I just have to find your weakness.” Kane walked closer to him making them face to face. “To bad I already know yours” he whispered in his ear. Trevor swallowed in response. “You bring the ecstasy with you?” Trevor pulled the bag out of his pocket to show him. Kane took them from him and took one then placing the other in Trevor’s mouth. They both swallowed before becoming consumed by passion.

Erica laid on the couch wondering why Winston didn’t pick up her call. He always picked up or at least called her back. The thought of the woman she seen him with at dinner flooded her mind. Steam began to rise in her veins. Maybe he was doing what they do together with her tonight. She shook her head not wanting to think about it. As another dirty image danced in her head of them the doorbell ringed. Annoyed at whoever was at her door she swung it open to see Winston. Erica knew something bad happened by the look on his face. “Everything…” she tried to ask but he stepped to her kissing the question from her mouth. No words were needed. He was hurt and wanting comfort. Comfort only she knew she could give him. With their lips still locked he walked past the threshold and slammed the door behind him.
